6.1 Platform Transaction Fees

Each plan is subject to a platform transaction fee assessed by Atelier Digital on payments processed through the platform, in addition to the applicable subscription fee:

Community: a platform transaction fee of 0.1% per successful transaction applies, capped at $1.00 per transaction and at $100.00 per calendar month.
Academy: a platform transaction fee of 0.75% per successful transaction applies, capped at $2.00 per transaction and at $250.00 per calendar month.

The platform transaction fee is assessed per successful charge. The monthly cap is calculated on a gross basis and resets at the start of each calendar month; refunds do not restore cap headroom. Plan changes take effect in accordance with the subscription terms above, and Academy entitlements and fees apply for the period during which the Academy plan is active.

The platform transaction fee is separate from, and in addition to, the payment-processing fees charged by Stripe, which are assessed at Stripe's standard published rates.

Messaging

Atelier Digital uses messaging features including email and text messages in the following contexts:

For Atelier Digital to contact studios regarding their account or operations
For Atelier Digital to contact studio customers regarding their account
For studios to contact their customers regarding their account and bookings
For studios to contact their customers for opt-in marketing

For questions or concerns regarding our messaging policy, whether email or text messaging, contact us at [email protected].

10.1 Text Messaging

Atelier Digital makes use of text messaging services to keep individuals informed regarding their bookings and important account information. No marketing is allowed to take place over text messaging on the Atelier Studio^™ platform.

Text messages a studio sends to its customers (booking and account notifications) are delivered by Short Message Service (SMS). For account-level messages Atelier Digital sends directly (for example, security or verification messages to a studio or a customer about their Atelier account), Atelier Digital may use additional channels such as Rich Communication Service (RCS) or WhatsApp alongside SMS, respecting the recipient's preference and always falling back to SMS when a preferred method is unavailable. Atelier Digital may add further delivery channels for studio-to-customer messaging in the future.

Message and data rates may apply for all forms of text messaging. All text messaging (whatever the delivery channel, and whether the recipient is a studio or a consumer) is opt-in only. Opting in to receive text messages is not a condition to create or maintain an account.

10.1.1 Studio to Consumer Messaging

Message frequency varies and is dependent on the number of classes booked for a given studio. Messages may come from multiple studios should a consumer have registered classes at multiple studios.

10.1.2 Atelier Digital to Consumer Messaging

Message frequency varies. Atelier Digital will only send messages direct to consumers regarding the security and status of their Atelier account.

10.1.3 Consumer Messaging Opt-Out

Consumers may reply STOP at any time to opt-out of receiving text messages for a studio, or reply HELP for help. Consumers may also update their account at https://my.atelierapp.co/account to select which text messages they do and do not wish to receive on a studio-by-studio basis.

10.1.4 Atelier Digital to Studio Messaging

Message frequency varies. Atelier Digital will only send messages direct to studios regarding the security and status of their Atelier Studio^™ account, including but not limited to service interruptions, account security, and account payments.

10.1.5 Studio Messaging Opt-Out

Studio owners may reply STOP at any time to opt-out of receiving text messages from Atelier Digital, or reply HELP for help. Studio owners may also update their account at https://studio.atelierapp.co to manage their notification preferences.

10.1.6 Messaging Fees and Limits

Text messaging is an optional feature available on the Community and Academy plans. Studios that enable it pay a one-time activation fee of $50 and a text messaging fee of $19 per month, which includes a soft cap of 1,000 text messages per billing cycle. The included message count resets at the start of each billing cycle and unused messages do not carry over. Text messaging terms for the Network plan are set in the studio's agreement.

Studio owners will receive the following notifications in their Atelier Studio^™ portal account at the following thresholds:

75% of the included messages: In-app banner viewable by the studio, never shown to customers
90% of the included messages: In-app banner and email to studio
100% of the included messages: In-app banner and email to studio informing the studio owner that overage charges will be added to their next invoice

Pricing for message overages is $0.02 per message over the included messages for the billing cycle. Messages will still be sent if limits are exceeded; Atelier Digital will not block the sending of text messages above the stated limits.

10.1.7 Text Message Types

There are 11 types of text messages that may be sent from a studio to their customers:

Class reminders (1 reminder per booking)
Booking confirmation (1 per booking)
Membership renewal reminder (1 per membership term)
Membership renewal failure (1 per membership renewal attempt, not per failure)
Membership renewal confirmation (1 per membership term)
Waitlist join confirmation (1 per booking)
Waitlist promotion notification (1 per booking)
Waitlist promotion failed due to declined payment (1 per booking)
Class cancellation notice (cancellation by studio, 1 per booking)
Booking cancellation confirmation (cancellation by customer, 1 per booking)
Automatic payment failed (1 per type, sent out when payment failed for committed-term enrollment autopay)

Studio customers can choose to enable all, none, or some of these notifications. They are opt-in only. If a studio chooses to offer text notifications, that is not a guarantee that the message will be sent to the customer. The customer must also opt in to receive it. No marketing messages are allowed to be sent from Atelier Studio^™ to a customer via text messaging services.
