For art studios

Art studio software, built by artists.

Class booking, registration, payments, and waitlists — for studios from painting to pottery to glassblowing. Built by Craig, a portrait artist from New Orleans, who got tired of art studios being shoehorned into gym and spa software.

01 / Registration

Art class registration on autopilot.

Students sign up, you teach. Atelier Studio handles recurring class series, term-based courses, single workshops, and private lessons in one calendar — with waitlists and cancellations managed for you.

  • Multi-session term courses with rollover students
  • One-off workshops and master classes
  • Class-size caps and waitlist promotion
  • Atelier Encore — intelligent seat-filling invites the students who'd want a last-minute open spot
  • Per-instructor schedules and substitutes

02 / Booking

A booking widget that lives on your existing site.

Don't rebuild your gallery site to take registrations. Atelier Studio ships a copy-and-paste art class booking widget that drops into any site you already have — anywhere you can paste a script tag. Your existing design stays; the widget handles class lists, student sign-ups, and checkout.

  • One-line install — a single <script> tag
  • Works on static HTML, Squarespace, Wix, WordPress, or anywhere else scripts run
  • Inherits your typography and brand colors
  • Mobile-first by default

03 / Payments & billing

Payments and billing, without the markup.

Art studio margins are thin — your software shouldn't take more than its share. Atelier Studio handles the whole money side: course and workshop fees, recurring tuition on autopay, and class packs and memberships — collected card, debit, or ACH through Stripe.

On Community it's a tiny 0.1% per transaction, capped at $1 (max $100 a month); Academy is 0.75% per transaction, capped at $2 — and never more than $250 in a calendar month — lower than other art studio software — and payments land in your Stripe account, never ours. Your rate is locked in the day you join.

  • Course and workshop fee collection
  • Recurring tuition & autopay
  • Refunds, partial credits, and account balances
  • PCI-secure card, debit, and ACH via Stripe — paid into your own account

04 / Levels & progression

Skill, in the right order.

Every craft has an order — foundations before the figure, the wheel before the hot shop. Atelier Studio makes that progression real, so students step up to the next class when they're actually ready: a difficulty on every class, a skill level on every student, and the two working hand in hand.

  • Class levels & student skill levels: the right courses surface for the right people, automatically
  • Prerequisite & safety gating: open "Wheel Throwing II" once I is done, and hold the hot shop or the kiln behind a safety sign-off — a student who's ready early can request placement
  • Your own progression: beginner to advanced, foundations to master atelier — build the ladder as simple or as deep as your program runs

On every plan. On Academy, add juried critiques and portfolio reviews with a rubric, and shared practice logs between teacher, student, and parents.

I've watched and worked with artists who try to run their studios out of software built for gyms and spas — or worse, a hodgepodge of different tools. Atelier Studio is what I built for them — and what I'll be using once my studio doors open.

Built for every kind of studio

Painting, pottery, glassblowing, and the studios in between.

The mechanics of running classes are the same whether you teach watercolor or welding. Atelier Studio doesn't make you choose a medium.

Common questions

Art studio software FAQ

Is Atelier Studio suitable for small art studios and solo instructors?

Yes. We built it for studios of every size — from a solo instructor teaching one watercolor class a week, to a multi-room community art center running a full term-based program. Pricing scales with the studio, with no extra fees per location or per student.

Can I embed the art class booking widget on my existing website?

Yes. The booking widget is a single <script> tag you paste into any existing site — static HTML, Squarespace, Wix, WordPress, anywhere a script runs. Your existing design stays; the widget inherits your typography and brand colors.

Does Atelier Studio handle open studio sessions, term courses, and workshops?

Yes. Schedule open studio time, term-based courses, single workshops, and private lessons in the same calendar, with waitlists handled automatically.

Can I set class levels, prerequisites, and student placement?

Yes. Give every class a difficulty and every student a skill level, then gate a course by level — open the next class once the last is done, or hold the hot shop and the kiln behind a safety sign-off. A student who's ready early can request placement, and you approve. Build your own progression, from foundations to advanced. On the Academy plan, run juried critiques and portfolio reviews with a rubric, and keep shared practice logs between teacher, student, and parents.

What payment methods does Atelier Studio support?

Credit cards, debit cards, and ACH bank transfers, processed through Stripe. Transaction fees are lower than other art studio software, with predictable pricing — you'll know exactly what you pay.

How much does art studio payment processing cost?

It depends on your plan. Community is 0.1% per transaction, capped at $1 (and never more than $100 in a calendar month); Academy is 0.75% per transaction, capped at $2 — and never more than $250 in a calendar month — on top of Stripe's standard card rate, and lower than most art studio software. Payments go straight into your own Stripe account; we never hold your money. The rate you start on is grandfathered — locked for the life of your subscription.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. After signup you enter Setup Mode — up to 30 days to configure your studio at your pace. The free 14-day trial begins only when you click Launch Studio. No credit card needed at signup.
